DISCLAIMER: If you see any artistic work (backgrounds, figures, etc.) that actually belong to you in my photo manipulations, send me a message, and I will get the appropriate credits applied.

Please read the comments below for an explanation of the statement above.

I may start posting my photo manipulations here on DeviantArt. So before I get a bunch of flack from people, let me say I don't take credit where credit isn't due.

I don't have softwares like Photoshop and such. (I have DAZ Studio, but it won't run on my computer.) I only use free programs like Gimp, Paint.net, Paint, Photobie, and Adobe PhotoDeluxe.

Therefore, I am not currently able to generate any decent backgrounds or complicated features/forms of my own for my images. Much of the time I'm left having to use somebody else's works for those things, and I DO NOT CLAIM those things are my work.

Here's the rub. I am not in the habit of documenting the sources of the other works I may use in my photo manipulations. It's not because I don't care, it's because there is so much redistribution of images on-line that I can't be sure of giving credit to the correct people. The situation of giving credit to the wrong person generated a pile of grief for me one time and I don't intend to repeat it. Hence, the disclaimer being posted.

So please don't just jump me with complaints. Work with me to get any artistic credit situations rectified peacefully. If anything, I will state in the comments about my image what portions are mine as opposed to what I obtained on-line.

Incidentally, I also have had my work copied and posted elsewhere and even photo manipulated. I don't generally have a problem with that. I don't necessarily even care if they give me credit or not for my work, just as long as they don't publicly claim MY stuff as their's.

Well, I didn't what to start off with a rant, but it's an important issue for me to get explained before someone possibly complains.
